The new album of New Zealand musician Ian Morris is a bit different than usual, as it is being released post-humously.Â
Moriss was best known as a founding member of Th’ Dudes and as his solo alter ego Tex Pistol. He was also an in-demand producer and engineer having won engineer of the year for Hello Sailors debut album and his role in their iconic song Gutter Black.
Morris’ family have released an album of his solo work, completed before his death 10 years ago. The album is ‘a and b the c of d’.Â
Singer Kim Willoughby and one of their daughters, Julia Morris, joined Francesca Rudkin to discuss putting the album together and releasing it a decade on from his death.
