New Zealand’s own film-maker Jessica Hobbs has won an Emmy for her work on smash hit Netflix show The Crown.Â
Hobbs won for her directing work on the episode "War", the finale of the show's fourth season, which tells the story of the unravelling of the marriage of Prince Charles and Princess Diana.
Hobbs started out directing here, working alongside the likes of Jane Campion before moving to Australia where she directed shows Heartbreak High, City Life and The Slap, to name a few.Â
Moving to the UK Hobbs worked on Broadchurch and begun directing episodes of The Crown in season three – also earning an Emmy nomination for the finale of that season last year.Â
Jessica Hobbs joined Francesca Rudkin to chat about her win... and her expletive slip.
