The Legend of Baron To’a is the latest New Zealand flick to head to cinemas.

The movie is set in Auckland with a predominantly Maori and Pacific Island cast, and one of those cast members is South Auckland raised, Samoan actor Jay Laga’aia, who plays George.

Jay has had a varied acting career – from children’s entertainer in Play School, to television shows like Xena: Warriors Princess and Water Rats and of course stage shows like The Lion King where he played Mufasa.

Laga’aia joined Andrew Dickens to discuss his return to the big screen.
