The stars of TVNZ 2's new topical panel show have tested out their news knowledge.

Comedian and actress Hayley Sproull will host the new weekly quiz show, Have You Been Paying Attention?

Regulars will be 7 Days' regular Urzila Carlson and ZM's funny man Vaughan Smith who will be joined by a revolving panel of comedians.

It is based on the Australian version of the same name, which sees panellists answer questions based on stories from the week's news.

Sproull and head writer and fellow comedian Eli Matthewson joined Francesca Rudkin to discuss the top stories from the week, including the divisive new Cats trailer, the Moon landing, Netflix's latest slip in subscribers, and the new Sephora opening.
