Kiwis have been gaining weight at faster rates than normal.
According to a new survey by Exercise NZ, Kiwis put on 2.8 million kilograms nationwide – about the same as 500 elephants.
Those who reported putting on weight gained an average of 5.4kg – 10 times the usual rate of weight gain.
