If there is someone who knows a little something about resilience, it’s Turia Pitt.
In September 2011 while running an ultramarathon, Turia was caught in a bush fire. She survived but had severe burns to 65 per cent of her body.
The injuries meant she needed to learn to walk and talk again and has undertaken 200 surgeries.
Since the accident, Turia has become an inspiration to people all over the world. She’s the author of three books, the latest of which is Good Selfie, a guide full of tips and tools to help teens get through life.
Turia joined Francesca Rudkin to discuss why she wrote the book, becoming a mother, and being realistic in dealing with life.Â
