Novelist Andrew Sean Greer has hit the big time.
His book, Less, a comedy the story of failed novelist Arthur Less and his overseas adventures won the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for fiction.
The judges described Less as “a generous book, musical in its prose and expansive in its structure and range, about growing older and the essential nature of love”.
Now, Greer is heading to New Zealand next month for the Auckland Writers Festival.
He joined Francesca Rudkin to discuss his success, the appeal and relatability of Arthur and his story, and the inspiration of the story.
