Infrastructure, RNZ and donations: Parliament's first week back

Parliament returned for the first time this week, and with months to go until the general election, the atmosphere is already tense.

During the opening speeches, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern declared she leads the Government of many things - and struggled to rise above the din when she declared she led a Government of housing.

And, stealing National's thunder, Ardern also declared it to be the Government of infrastructure.

She said that means training and education, with apprenticeships growing by 20 percent under her watch.

National's Simon Bridges told the House no infrastructure's been built.

Bridges said it seems if Ardern doesn't like what she'd promised, she simply changes the targets and pretends nothing's happened.

It comes amid further conflict over New Zealand First and the investigation into their foundation, and Radio New Zealand's public backtrack after their plans for Concert FM were roasted.

ZB political reporter Aaron Dahmen joined Andrew Dickens to discuss the weeks big stories.
