The Burden of Infertility in New Zealand is a study being undertaken by a group of researchers at Otago University.
The data released in the led up to Fertility Week tomorrow, showed 12.5 percent of New Zealand women experience infertility.
While ethnicity has no bearing on the likelihood of infertility, the study did show Maori and Pacific Island groups were less likely to seek help for the issue.
