A new report from the IPPC has highlighted the growing need to act to prevent climate change.

However, the report has been met with the usual dismissal from many sceptics who refuse to believe in man-made climate change.

Dr Nicola Gaston told Kerre McIvor that there are many reasons why people ignore it, but there is plenty of evidence that climate change is real and that we should be concerned.

She says that if we do not spend the money to prevent it now, we will end up spending the money later to deal with it.
