Dark Sacred Night by Michael Connelly. He’s written loads of books – about 21 I think – with character Detective Harry Bosch, is beloved by thousands of readers. In this one he teams up with anew character who was introduced in a book earlier this year – Renee Ballard (young, female), and they work together to solve a cold case. Connelly is the real deal as far as thriller writers go.

The Great Cave Rescue by James Massola : the story of the Thai football team – the Wild Board – who were stranded in the caves earlier this year, and their extraordinary rescue. The author is an Australian journalist and has done loads of research talking to a lot of the people involved and documenting exactly what happened. It’s still very moving even all these months later.
