Sports has returned to New Zealand, but leave the politics at home, asks Martin Devlin.Â
Yesterday marked the launch of the Super Rugby Aotearoa competition, with the first match played between the Chiefs and the Highlanders at Forsyth Barr Stadium.

The speech was met with cheers - but Martin Devlin says that New Zealand should not adopt the US practice of merging sports and politics together.Â
