Serena Williams has been blocked from setting a tennis record - and Martin Devlin is pleased with the result.Â
19-year-old Canadian Bianca Andreescu stunned the 23-times Grand Slam champion 6-3, 7-5 to secure her maiden title.
Williams had fought back from 5-1 down in the second set.
If she had won, she would have equalled Margaret Court's record for most Grand Slam singles wins.Â
Devlin told listeners that he hopes Williams sets her record one day, but, for now, he is pleased that the 'world champion, not a world champion person' has been held back.
