What seemed like a longshot a few weeks ago has fast become one of the most anticipated games for New Zealanders of the year.
The Black Caps face the English cricket team tonight in what could see the Kiwi side clinch their first Cricket World Cup trophy.
The game begins at 9:30pm tonight, and Newstalk ZB's very own Bryan Waddle will be providing commentary live from the grounds of Lord's.
He told Jim Kayes that the favouritism sits with England, but it also did with India. He knows New Zealand are the underdogs, but there are multiple things they can do to claim a win,
"They are going to win it by playing better cricket, by playing consistent cricket, by dealing with the difficulty situations that may occur throughout the game, to be able to bring to the fore the adaptability they have worked so hard on, by scoring runs at the top order, and being able to cope with the pressures of being in a hostile crowd."Â
