The Black Caps are set to have a new assistant coach
Radio Sport understands that former Black Cap and Canterbury provincial player Peter Fulton will be replacing Craig MacMillan in the role.Â
The 38-year-old played a number of test and ODI matches for the Black Caps between 2004 and 2014, and was on the Canterbury team for 16 years.
There, he played under current Black Cap coach Gary Stead, before retiring from the game in 2017.Â
During his international career, Fulton once scored two centuries in one match against England.Â
The Black Caps have yet to confirm the appointment.
Cricket commentator Bryan Waddle approved the choice, telling Martin Devlin that he is a recent first-class player with tons of experience.Â
