Origins: Scotty Morrison hosts the landmark New Zealand documentary Origins, a three-part series that explores the evolution of Māori, seeking to discover where they originated from and how they reached Aotearoa (TVNZ 1, Tuesday). 
 
Criminal UK: a second season of the cat-and-mouse drama, which focuses on the intense mental conflict between detectives and suspects. The stories take place completely within the confines of a police interview suite (Netflix, Season 2 from September 16). 
 
Long Way Up: a new motorcycle series that reunites best friends Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman after more than a decade since their last motorbike adventure around the world, Long Way Round. Covering 13,000 miles over 100 days, Ewan and Charley journey through the glorious and underexposed landscapes of South and Central America in their most challenging expedition to date. (Apple TV +, from September 18).
