Promises a partially-submerged stadium seating 50,000 people on the waterfront won't cost Auckland ratepayers a cent.
A consortium of business people are behind the ambitious $1.8 billion project.
Consortium Deputy Chairman, Michael Sage, told Mike Hosking the stadium would be paid for by granting the consortium development rights over the Bledisloe Quarter and Eden Park.
It would build 2500 residential units on the land along with shops, hotels and other commercial developments.
Sage also promises it will be an environmentally friendly project, using a minimal amount of the sea floor and rectifying storm water runoff from Bledisloe wharf.
