Every Friday morning, Mike Hosking takes you through the big-ticket items of the week and lets you know what he makes of it all.

Here's a taste of what he reckons.

Brexit 2/10

I thought it was bad, then they took eight ideas yesterday and voted for, wait for it, none of them.

Theresa May 7 / 10

Through it all, she remains stoic and consistent and wants to actually do what the people of Britain voted for.

President Trump 9 / 10

Robert Mueller, Michael Avenatti and Benjamin Netanyahu all in one day. Oh, and the trade deficit shrunk as well, its full steam ahead to 2020.

Coal 8 / 10

Last year 70 % of the planets power was delivered by fossil fuels. Deny it all you like but like robots, they still aren’t the “here and now” and the “here and now” is what lets us do the business

Winston Peters 2 / 10

He….Was…..Asleep.

Vector 3 /10

About as impressive as Winston. $3.5 million in fines for not doing their job.

One Nation 7 /10

This is the stuff you can’t write. Between the guns, Hansen getting bitten by a tic, the two clowns on the sauce asking for millions in America, Al Jazeera must be pinching themselves

Whitcoulls 2 / 10

Jordan Peterson on the shelf, if they along with all the other virtue signalling corporates who wobbled instead of actually having a backbone could check themselves that would be appreciated.

Tourism 9 / 10

36000 jobs and the campaign began this week to fill the gaps, it’s a good problem to have.
