Winston Peters: Tip Top sale resembles 'bad economics'

Acting Prime Minister Winston Peters joins Mike Hosking to talk about Fonterra's sale of Tip Top yesterday.

Peters labelled the day as a 'sad' one for New Zealand, as Fonterra handed Tip Top to European dairy giant Froneri for $380 million.

Peter agrees with New Zealand First's Mark Patterson's view that Fonterra's sale of Tip Top resembles an alarming trend.

"When you see a product like milk being sold at its base lowest cost with the advantage of some other economy, then that's a bad economic strategy."
