Winston Peters claims Simon Bridges is trying to lure some of his New Zealand First MPs over to the National Party.
National claims New Zealand First MPs are completely beholden to Winston Peters, because of his party's so called good behaviour clause.
That clause could see them fined $300,000 if they're expelled or resign from the party's caucus, but stay on in Parliament.
But Peters told Mike Hosking the criticism is all about Bridges trying to get his party's MPs to jump ship and in particular defence minister Ron Mark.
He says Bridges has been witnessed promising Ron Mark a deal for the Wairarapa electorate, and in return he'd dump his local MP Alastair Scott.
