The French rugby team could potentially be involved in a mutiny in the middle of the Rugby World Cup.

Despite qualifying for the quarter finals, France have had some underwhelming games so far and there are reports that the French coaching staff have dropped captain Guilhem Guirado, a decision which hasn't gone down well with players.

And outspoken Toulon coach Mourad Boudjellal has told players to overthrow the coaches.

Sound familiar? The same thing happened in 2011 when France started poorly and ousted then coach Marc Lievremont in the middle of the tournament - going on to make the final against the All Blacks.

New Zealand born former French centre Tony Marsh joined Mike Hosking to share his thoughts on the controversy.
