The Government's new tax Bill could put tens-of-million of unclaimed tax dollars back into Kiwis' pockets.
The Bill - which contains a raft of tax changes - has its first reading in Parliament today
One change would allow for automatic tax refunds for people who don't file a return.
Tax expert Terry Baucher told Mike Hosking thousands of people stand to benefit.
"Maybe another 300,000 could be sharing out refunds worth $150 million a year."
Other tax changes would allow over-65s to join KiwiSaver, while KiwiSaver rates of six and ten per cent would also be introduced.
