Scores of immigrant doctors say they could start work in the country's hospitals tomorrow - but DHBs they can't, without adequate supervision. 

Dozens of immigrant doctors are being denied jobs at understaffed hospitals. 

Tanja Milovanovic told Mike Yardley she's applied to a number of DHB's. 

"I have applied to Gisborne, Tauranga and Rotorua, Wellington. Even a few places in the South Island but it has been the same response, there are no positions." 

A spokesperson for the Ministry of Health says priority is given to New Zealand medical graduates.
