Police Minister Stuart Nash told Mike Hosking there'll be two press conferences, one of which will be fronted by himself and Finance Minister Grant Robertson will front one of them.
"Minister Robertson and myself will talk about the approach to pricing, the rules for challenges and appeals, assistance for collection, etc."
Nash says police will hold another press conference where they'll talk about the nuts and bolts of it and will release a price list.
He defended the time it has taken to confirm the details, saying that it has been very complex to organise.Â
"There are thousands of different types of firearms out there. We want to make sure we get this right."Â
