A Facebook page started to help small businesses during Covid has blossomed into a brand new online shopping platform.
Sarah Colcord started the 'New Zealand Made Products' page after she found it hard to promote her own business, and it quickly grew to half a million fans.
The 24-year-old's capitalising on that success, re-branding the Facebook page as Chooice  and starting an online market of her own.
She told Mike Hosking that what Covid has highlighted is that there was a gap in New Zealand's digital eco-system for homegrown marketplaceÂ
"We think that Chooice is the first step forwards to closing that gap."
She says that it is similar to Amazon as people sell through the platform, and people can search for whatever they want.Â
Colcord has also kept fees to a minimum, as they want to ensure businesses can keep as much cash as they can.Â
