You cannot argue that Marvel isn't one of the biggest comic, film and tv franchises of all time.  

In fact - the Marvel Cinematic Universe is the highest grossing franchise of all time - having brought in more than $32 billion in revenue.  

Now they're dipping their toes into animation with a new series What If...?

But one major part of the success is of course, the visuals. 

Ryan Meinerding is the Head of Visual Development and Character Design at Marvel Studios.  

So essentially, he's in charge of how the characters, and films in general, look.
