Greenpeace is asking the Government to establish an interest-free loan scheme to helpĀ customers install solar panels for their homes.

A ten-year plan to solarise half a million homes has been launched this morning, and Greenpeace are petitioning the government to adopt it.

Executive director for Greenpeace NZ Russell Norman told Mike Hosking that demand is outpacing supply.

"The solar industry is growing very quickly, we just need to accelerate it."
