Britain's government is hoping to ease Covid 19 restrictions by March, as it presses ahead with the rapid roll-out of vaccines.

Foreign Minister Dominic Raab is promising every adult in the UK will be offered a first dose of a coronavirus vaccine by September this year, at the latest.

British hospitals are under extreme pressure, with a new coronavirus patient being admitted to hospital every 30 seconds.

Raab hopes the situation will change by March, allowing at least parts of the country to move out of lockdown.

Meanwhile, Austria has extended its third lockdown until at least February, but officials say the country still has a few hard months ahead.
