Richard Quest doubts international travel is ready to bounce back to full capacity

Business trips are expected to stay grounded, as baby steps are taken to get travelling again.

CNN Business correspondent Richard Quest says it's fair to say business travel won't get back to where it was before Covid-19, but it's hard to say to what extent.

However, he told Mike Hosking travel between company offices will likely take the biggest hit.

"The two day trip to Sydney, the day trips from Christchurch to Auckland or to Wellington, that will not happen anymore.

"We've shown that we can do those trips using online conferencing."

He says despite some borders reopening, leisure travel to most other places in the world is much more difficult.

"Pretty much every destination requires a PCR test before you travel, but then you have to reverse it all on the way back."
