A massive review into bullying in this country reveals that the problem is bigger than we thought.
The Education Review Office has visited 136 schools and talked to more than 11,000 students about the issue.
They found 47 per cent of primary school kids have been bullied at their current school and 28 per cent of secondary school students. Meanwhile, 38 per cent face it at least once a week.
Education Review Office manager of evaluation and policy, Dr Deirdre Shaw, told Mike Hosking older kids may also be experiencing cyberbullying outside of school.
She said the kids didn't include cyberbullying in their survey responses/
"Stuff that happens on social media, kids aren't associating that with bullying they are seeing that as normal behaviour, which is quite concerning."
