Queensland University health services research expert Cheneal Puljevic joins Mike Hosking to talk about recent findings around pre-drinking.

Researchers at the University of Queensland have found that people 'pre-drink' well into their thirties.

Puljevic says there were six countries where pre-drinking increases after the age of 30, and New Zealand is one of those.

She adds the problem does not sit with whether someone is drinking before they go out, it is around the quantity.

"A drink or two at home before you're going out, it depends on how many you have for the rest of the night.
