Every Wednesday, Mark Mitchell and Stuart Nash join the Mike Hosking Breakfast to discuss the week's best political news.

This week, the Police Minister discussed the allegations of misconduct by new recruits at Police College.

He said the actions of a number of dodgy police recruits are indefensible.

One has been investigated for allegedly accessing a man's cellphone, and for intimidation, while another two were investigated for alleged indecent assaults.

Several others were accused of being drunk while in uniform.

Police Minister Stuart Nash told Mike Yardley the recruits have been dealt with appropriately by senior staff.

"If they felt that any of those men and women, who engage in that sort of behaviour, would not be good officers or uphold the values of the New Zealand Police service then the would not graduate them."

Two recruits in Wing 318 did not graduate.
