There's frustration from the business community, who are claiming the Government doesn't seem to have learnt much from the first lockdown.
Former Business New Zealand head Phil O'Reilly told Mike Hosking we're meant to be a team of five million, and normally teams assess what they did at half-time.
He says none of that learning or communication with the business community has gone on.
"The business community just has to suck it up because there's no news about the wage subsidy and no engagement with us between the last lockdown and this one."
O'Reilly says the Government didn't come to the party last time, and he's not confident it will step up this time either.
He says the support needs to be well thought through, because it's not just about the wage subsidy, businesses need cashflow too.
"A lot of businesses are on the brink and this is likely to push them over."
