New Zealander’s overwhelmingly want to do more when it comes to reducing waste, but it turns out many people don’t know how to go about it.
Research commissioned by the Ministry for Environment found that waste was second equal on the ranked list of concerns for resident.
However, in that same study only 30 percent of people realised returning containers to shops was a way to reduce waste, as was using their own containers for takeaway food.
Wasteminz Chief Executive Paul Evans told Mike Hosking waste one of the most important issues from the research, but people are still confused.
