Should we have vehicle specific speed limits, especially for rural roads?
A proposal in Victoria, which the government is apparently considering, is looking at dropping speed limits on country roads and applying a different speed for cars, trucks and motorbikes.
It's in response to the government trying to half road deaths by 2030 after not exceeding the deaths per road target for the last four years.
Road transport forum chief executive Nick Leggett joined Mike Hosking to share his thoughts on the proposal.
