World business leaders may be able to learn a thing or two from Jacinda Ardern and Rugby Australia boss Raelene Castle.
Media intelligence business Isentia has studied media coverage of Mark Zuckerberg response to the Facebook privacy scandal and Boeing's response to the 737 Max problems.
It's compared that to coverage of Ardern's response to the mosque attacks and Castle's response to Israel Folau.
Isentia head of insights Ngaire Crawford told Mike Hosking Ardern and Castle's approach appeal to people more.
"They are both leaders that are considered to have a greater sense of empathy and connection. We all desire a bit more one-to-one connection given that so much of our lives in digital spaces."
Crawford says that, by comparison, Zuckerberg seems to lack the skillset to be a powerful global CEO.
"He just doesn't seem to understand the amount of responsibility that people place on him. He's very absent and there are entire threads dedicated to whether or not he is even a person."
