An advertising and marketing expert is warning ANZ to "proceed with caution."
The bank's publicly raised concerns about Silver Ferns shooter Maria Folau and the support she's shown for her husband following his controversial views.
The sport's major sponsor says they don't support the views of Folau and have made their position known to Netball New Zealand.
But advertising and marketing consultant Mike Hutcheson told Mike Hosking she hasn't done anything wrong.
"I think in this particular case, she's not guilty, ands therefore I would think they are drawing a long bow by pulling their sponsorship over something that's much wider than one particular individual."
He says ANZ should focus on their own issues.
"If I was them, I would keep their heads down too because I don't think people woll get much by going after her."
