There are hopes New Zealand will soon be able to move to Alert Level 1.

It comes after four consecutive days of no new Covid-19 cases in New Zealand.

Otago University's Professor Michael Baker, told Mike Hosking we're on our way to eliminating the virus. 

"Some of the cases we are seeing now are the tail end of the earlier outbreaks."

Baker also suggests we wait for 28 days of no new cases, before expanding the limit on gatherings.
