Labour says it's wasting no time in forming a government, after its historic victory on Saturday night.
The party has just under half the vote, with 87-percent of votes counted.
The Labour caucus will meet today and tomorrow, before leader Jacinda Ardern meets with the Green Party at some point this week.
Campaign manager Megan Woods told Mike Hosking Ardern is keen to have a government in place by the time the final election results come on November 6.
