An assisted dying advocate believes a slight tweak to the End of Life Choice Bill is needed.

The Bill would currently allow people suffering a grievous and untreatable medical condition to choose assisted death.

Matt Vickers' stood by his late wife Lecretia Seales as she sought legal means to end her life when she was suffering from terminal brain cancer.

Mr Vickers told Mike Hosking legalised euthanasia should be restricted to only cases of terminal illness.

"Making it explicitly clear in this bill that having a disability or just being ill was not enough to qualify you to access this legalisation would help address the MPs questions they have on this bill."
