Every Friday morning, Mike Hosking takes you through the big ticket items of the week and lets you know what he makes of it all.

Here's a taste of what he reckons.

Phil Twyford and Kiwibuild.

0/10.

"Twyford changed the rules on flipping your house and keeping the profits, didn’t tell anyone, and is using our money.

Has he just out done Lees-Galloway on ineptitude?

Oh, by the way if you're after a house, there's a bunch of KiwiBuild apartments for sale currently that no one wanted.

Who saw that coming? That's right, us."

House Sales.

7/10.

"Good numbers this week, if you sell, you make on average $180,000.

And in that is the reason we love housing so much, a place that makes you money that you can live in.

Beats the Dow Jones."

The Week for the National Party.

7/10.

"The poll this week was a good one, and shows that distractions don’t always kill you.

But that leaker is potentially trouble, Bridges can't shake his issues, and next year is crunch year.

And they've got problems with Speaker Trevor Mallard, there's no question he's not neutral."

Mental Health Inquiry.

4/10.

"We've cut down more trees to produce mental health reports than just about anything.

Imagine if we took the next step and actually did something about it."

Joe Biden and his Potential Presidential Run.

7/10.

"I hope he runs.

He's fascinating, experienced, and from a time Americans seem to embrace.

But that age thing is an issue."

Nelson Santa.

3/10.

"We all need to get a grip. Santa is a man, he's fat, he's jolly, he wears red, has a beard, and a hat.

Let's just try and stick to that, and not PC up everything and ruin it."
