Every Friday morning, Mike Hosking takes you through the big ticket items of the week and lets you know what he makes of it all.
Here's a taste of what he reckons.
Kiwibuild.
3/10.
"Demand? 338. The queue is virtually non existent.
This is all potentially a bust."
Pike River Re-Entry Decision.
6/10.
"For the families I hope it's what they want.
Some families, of course, don’t want any of it. And the risk is real.
The chances of answers are slim, it's got the ingredients to be a very large mistake."
The Teachers' Strike.
4/10.
"I still support their broad intent, and I still have sympathy with their workload.
But you don’t enter negotiations having asked for a dollar then up it to two dollars.
Unions are dangerous, and they ultimately get you no where. That's why this industrial action is a repeat of everything we have seen many times before."
Bunnings and the Sausage Sizzle.
4/10.
"A sad reminder that we have become so politically correct that we are prepared to upend common sense, and be ridiculed.
All because of a loose onion skin."
The All Blacks.
8/10.
"It was a long time coming, it wasn’t flash, but it was enthralling, and the best side won, as they indeed have a habit of doing.
This weekend will be the same."
Cycleways.
1/10.
"How many people will use them? I know let's make it up, and get public money that way!
The zealots are the ones to be worried about. Not only aren't they of the real world, they're fundamentally dishonest to boot."
Prince Charles and his 70th Birthday.
70/10.
"Watch the documentary "Charles at 70."
Yes, he's eclectic and sheltered, but he's made genuine difference to thousands of lives, and he saw the danger of plastic  50 years ago.
I think ultimately he might just be a deep thinker who has been largely misunderstood."
