The phone hasn't stopped at a Central Plateau caravan park since it started snowing.
Thirty centimetres of the white stuff fell in Ohakune yesterday, shutting all the highways in the area.
Locals say they haven't seen that much snow in more than 20 years.
Ohakune Top Ten Holiday Park owner Kordula Daniel told Larry Williams tourists are enjoying the snow and more want to come.
"For them it's beautiful you know they have never seen snow before and they've got lots of it."
Daniel said at the moment it's sleeting and she's hoping the roads will open so people can get in and out.
