80 to 90 percent of us are done and dusted with them by February, then things tend to fall apart.
Karen Nimmo told Tim Dower the main reason we fail is because it's all about sacrifice, or because our resolutions are quite boring.
She says we should have a big short-term goal, like losing weight for a wedding.
"You then have a much better chance of making a plan around it, because it becomes part of your identity."
