A prediction Donald Trump will throw in the towel.
New York University law and philosophy Professor Jeremy Waldron is back in New Zealand to give a lecture.
He told Mike Hosking he thinks President Trump will resign in a year or two.
"He will just say 'ah the hell with this, who needs this'. I don't think it ends in impeachment, I think it's very unhealthy to talk about impeachment. I don't think it ends in 25th amendment removal for incapacity."
Waldron said President Trump is used to being an autocrat in his real estate business dealings.
But politics isn't like that.
"You have a quarter of a billion people to appease and conciliate. You have tens of thousands of people in the administration in one capacity or another and you have to get along with people you don't agree with."
