Green Party leader James Shaw's confident the longevity of the Party is stronger than ever.
The possibility of the Greens vanishing under the MMP system has been an ongoing concern for the Party and one of the reasons they've opted out of coalition governments in the past.
James Shaw told Mike Hosking it's always been a risk but they've come a long way recently in terms of development.
"I think that we have got what it takes, in our current circumstances, not just to survive being in Government but also to thrive as well. I think one of my greatest considerations is to make sure I lead the Greens not just into Government but out the other side as well."
