The Prime Minister's trusting her gut when it comes to the United Nations migration pact.

The first ever UN global agreement on a common approach to international migration is being ceremoniously signed in Morocco.

Critics question the impact it would have on the country's ability to manage our own borders.

But Jacinda Ardern told Mike Hosking that's not the case all.

"I would not sign something that took away our sovereign right to manage our own immigration, but because there's been even the smallest shred of doubt, we're going to seek some information."

Ardern says that there's nothing to worry out.

"My gut says, based on what's on paper, this does not affect our own migration."
