Israel Folau is being accused of misusing an online fundraising page.
GoFundMe has cancelled the rugby star's fundraising page after it reached $750,000.
He's trying to raise $3 million to fight Rugby Australia in court, after they fired him because of controversial social media comments targeting the gay community and other groups.
Fundraising consultant John Bergin told Mike Hosking platforms like GoFundMe and Givealittle were set up to be a conduit for people in need to link up with people who resources.
"It's not designed for a person to get plastic surgery done to get on television, or for a person to have a legal battle to help them maintain their lifestyle," he says.
