Cold water is being poured on the suggestion Air New Zealand could enter the Australian market.
From today, our national carrier will fly just 14 times a day on domestic routes.
Aviation analysts are suggesting that Air New Zealand should join the Australian domestic market – with airlines like Virgin Australia likely to go bust.
But former Aviation Industry Association CEO Irene King told Mike Hosking it's not going to work.
She says that is the New Zealand taxpayer throwing a lot of money into Australia.
"The aviation industry will bounce back, once there's a vaccine and money back in people's pockets."
