Fuel pump prices continue to rise, just as many of us are preparing to pack up the car for Christmas.

Head of Research at Fat Prophets Greg Smith told Mike Hosking the pain we're experiencing at the pump is due to a storm of events that's restricting global supplies.

"A pipeline in the north sea out of action, that's created pressure there, we are seeing a strike in Nigeria, a number of oil rigs in the US have fallen as well so that's really putting the pressure onto oil prices."
